Formou-se em comunicação social pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1989). Atua na área da comunicação visual desde 1986 e a partir de 1988 trabalhou ativamente com produção, direção e fotografia de cinema e vídeo. Fundou a galeria de fotografia Olho Nu do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, a qual dirigiu entre 1996 e 1997. Um dos seus principais temas está ligado ao mundo dos espetáculos, sobre tudo teatro e música.

GREG GORMAN. Fotografo.

Greg Gorman’s work documents that peculiar obsession of the 20th century celebrity. His photography is timeless and not confined to has-beens, hot properties, and wannabes. Each shot gives a picture of human nature in its infinite range. Each picture is also a testament to the individual character. “For me a photograph is most successful when it doesn’t answer all the questions,” says Gorman, “and it leaves something to be desired.”
For over two decades, Greg Gorman has continued to master the art of photography. From personality portraits and advertising campaigns to magazine layouts and fine art work, Greg has developed and showcased a discriminating and unique style in his profession.
Born in 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, Greg attended the University of Kansas from 1967-69 with a major in photojournalism. He completed his studies at the University of Southern California; graduating with a master of fine arts degree in cinematography in 1972.
He currently resides in Los Angeles and Mendocino, California.

Christian Witkin. Fotografo.

New York City based photographer Christian Witkin, was born in Manchester, England, in 1966 to an american father and dutch mother. He lived in amsterdam until 1984, when at age 17 he moved to america to pursue his education at syracuse university & graduated with a ba in fine arts&photography.
In the summer of 1993, Witkin launched his professional career on assignment for Vibe Magazine, and since then has photographed portraits and fashion for editorial clients such as Vogue (american, british, german, spanish and japanese editions), W, Harper´s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, The London Sunday Times, Arena, ID, and 2wice magazines.
Advertising camapaigns encompass award winning nike ads featuring Nike´s top endorsed athletes.Witkin has created memorable campaigns for IBM, American Express, Microsoft, Philips, Calvin Klein, Levis and Esprit. In spring 2001, Witkin has hired to create a celebrity branding campaign for the Gap. After eight successful seasons and nearly 100 celebrity portraitslater, the project remains a benchmark in modern, soulful celebrity portrait advertising.
Witkin has received numerous awards for his editorial and commercial work, including the society of publication designers gold award in photography, as well as others from american photography, communication arts and photo district news. He was also honored at the 2000 international photo festival held in Tokyo and received the vanguard photographer of the year award.

BRUNO BISANG . Fotografo.

Bruno Bisang was born in 1952 and spent much of his youth in Ascona, a picturesque little town in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. When he was 19 he attended the School of Applied Arts for Photography in Zurich, wich was followed by a photographic apprenticeship. Since 1979 Bruno Bisang has worked as a freelance photographer, first in Zurich, and then for a time in Milan and Munich. Now he works between Milan, New York, Zurich and Paris for a renowned clientele.The milestones of his career are marked by customers such as 'Officiel de la Couture', 'Femme', 'Vital', 'Cosmopolitan',' Madame Figaro', 'Vogue Homme', 'Air France Madame', 'Max', 'Photo', 'GQ', 'Amica', 'Deutsche Vogue', 'Parfum Rochas', 'Guerlain', 'Wolford', 'Swish', 'Chaumet', 'Sergio Rossi', Triumpf', 'Palmers', 'Ebel', 'Chanel', 'Givenchy', 'Cacharel', 'Vogue Gioiello', 'Chopard', 'Mauboussin' and many more.

Since the beginning of 2008 Dazed & Confused's New Photography Search Flickr group has grown rapidly to over 700 members, and from now on Dazed Digital will be regularly showcasing our favourite discoveries. Eleanor Hardwick, or Elle or Leenah as she is known online, immediately stood out: we could hardly believe that such an expansive portfolio (2,044) of such superlative quality could be the work of a girl of only 14 years old. She has since turned 15, and although she hasn't even finished her GCSEs yet, she's already started internships at photography studios
