"Há um excesso de imagens que cotidianamente nos cercam, fazendo-nos abandonar sentidos primordiais como o olfato e o tato. As relações são frias e pela exaustão, sem que percebamos, nos tornamos cegos. Nossa deficiência visual não é física, trata-se de uma deficiência mais profunda, estamos cegos pelo excesso de visibilidade, ou seja, não damos conta da carga de informações a que somos submetidos e acabamos nos acostumando a passar os olhos pelo mundo sem enxergar realmente o que nos cerca", explica Humberto Lemos, coordenador e curador do projeto.

O encontro será no próprio espaço, quinta-feira, dia 27 de novembro de 2008, com opções de horário matutino ou vespertino, segundo sua melhor conveniência. Esta é a décima oitava etapa do Programa Educacional do ECCO e é dirigido à fotógrafos, professores, educadores, estudantes e interessados em arte e fotografia de modo geral. O conteúdo está vinculado às novas exposições, que estão em cartaz no espaço, duas mostras internacionais de fotografia: HERESIA - UMA RETROSPECTIVA, de Pedro Meyer (México) e HIDROKLINIKA, de Nicolas Grospierre (Polônia). O tema abordado é ARTE E TECNOLOGIA: A FOTOGRAFIA DIGITAL relacionado-se com o conteúdo das exposições, especialmente à obra do fotógrafo mexicano PEDRO MEYER. O assunto será abordado de modo teórico e prático, inclusive analisado a utilidade da fotografia como instrumento pedagógico e a importância da tecnologia na educação atual. Serão abordadas questões relativas a temas transversais e matérias inclusas nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais – PCN's, bem como analisado aspectos inovadores da obra de Pedro Meyer.
