The renowned Brazilian photographer & ABC Trust supporter Ivaldo Cavalcantes has brought out a new book: Brasilia - 25 years of photo-journalism. Brazil's President "Lula" is shown here holding a copy of Ivaldo's book. The book features a foreword by Jimmy & Jimena Page;

"For many years, Ivaldo’s cutting-edge photographs have helped the ABC Trust to increase interest in the plight of Brazil’s street children in the UK. We have always been very grateful for his photographic “gifts” to the charity.
"Action for Brazil’s Children (ABC) Trust is a UK-based charity helping the poorest and most vulnerable children in Brazil. The work of the ABC Trust is focused on how street children and youth at risk can be given the means to escape despair and homelessness. It provides shelter food and care together with education and training.
"It started life as a small soup kitchen in Bahia for impoverished children; now it has international status and works with over a dozen project partners in Brazil, helping 1,000 children every week. Other patrons include legendary footballer Pele, Queen guitarist Brian May, musician Bebel Gilberto, film director Fernando Meirelles and Brazil’s national team footballer Edu Gaspar.
